Dave Carroll<\/b> is an NYC-based Local 600 Director of Photography and filmmaker specializing in narrative features, episodic comedy, and documentary cinema.<\/p>\n

With a career built on adapting to unpredictable shooting environments and solving problems on the fly, Dave spent 7 seasons as the primary field DP for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee<\/i><\/b> and has shot segments across 13 seasons of The Daily Show<\/i><\/b>. His television work spans narrative units, sketch comedy, and multi-cam interviews for HBO (Game Theory<\/i><\/b>), Apple TV+ (The Problem with Jon Stewart<\/i><\/b>), Netflix (Schulz Saves America<\/i><\/b>) , and Hulu (How To Die Alone<\/i><\/b>).<\/p>\n

As a filmmaker, Dave made his feature directorial debut with the documentary Bending Steel<\/i><\/b>, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival<\/b> and won the Emerging Cinematic Vision and Audience Awards at the Camden International Film Festival. His feature film cinematography includes the single-camera comedies Love\u2026 Reconsidered, <\/i><\/b>the upcoming Bonzo Gonzo<\/i><\/b> (which he also executive produced) and the feature Exemplum<\/i><\/b> currently in pre-production.<\/p>\n

A BFA Cinematography graduate from the School of Visual Arts<\/b>, Dave brings a collaborative, low-ego approach to every set. He is an ARRI Alexa 35<\/b> and Cooke S\/4i Mini<\/b> owner-operator available for travel worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
